    Bo,
When I talked to you on Bass Resource the other day about fantasy fishing you mentioned your podcast. I looked it up and downloaded it to my ipod and listened to it at work today. Pretty good stuff man! I listen to a variety of fishing podcasts/radio shows frequently and your shows were good. Keep it coming, I hope it works out well for you.

Jeff–Thank you for the compliment. I hope you play fantasy fishing with us in addition to the Bass Resource group. I am planning to do the same. By the way, we just recorded the January episode this morning. John Crews and Peter Thliveros shared some excellent information that my brain is still trying to digest. I will be interested to see what you think once the episode is released. Thanks again! — Bo

    Please forward to Andy Crawford.

    Dear Andy,

Have you heard of this method of cleaning up oil from water? It’s our friends the farmers’ solution. Check it out and send it to people you know at the top. or check with farmer friends. The wheel need not be reinvented. Mother Nature has a way with oil. Listen to this attachment.

just found your podcast on itunes and enjoyed most of them. Episode 6 was informative but some bad info was given out. 700 billion was the TARP package with only approx 300 billion handed out by Pres. Bush the rest and possibly another 50 billion by Pres. Obama. I didn’t like TARP period. Capitalism will pull us out of financial hardtimes not the government. Not the republicans but the demicrats are the ones whom have taken over the banking, car, and healthcare system now trying for the energy companies (tax and trade)1/6th of our economy. You guys stated the republicans did this, NOT TRUE. Lets plug the hole then we can find out what happened (when the facts are presented). I can turn on any news/radio station and get my politics. I would like to listen to a politically nuetral fishing show. But all in all have liked your show. looking forward to more.

Brian–we will discuss politics and the economy when the subject intersects the fishing world. In this case we were discussing Clint’s difficulties obtaining financing for his dream lake property. I believe I commented that a criticism of TARP is that the benefits have not extended down to Main Street so that ordinary folks can obtain loans for things like lake property, cars, and boats. This statement is accurate as that is still a criticism of TARP. I believe what I said was that this negatively effected the Republicans in the Nov ’08 election–and it is widely accepted that it did.

For the record, although I have not said this on the podcast, my personal opinion is that I do not like big government under any administration.

    Brian again,
Hey guys enjoyed episode 7. Sorry for being loaded for bear, I was reffering to the comment that was made approx 4 minutes into episode 6, but that is off my chest. I’m very much into the politics of the day and follow it very close. The quest you had on got my blood boiling but i believe in listening to all sides then drawing my own concusions. He and I wouldn’t agree to anything either. With all the red tape the gulf states have had to go thru and now testing the Whale to see if it works. Just get it out there and get it working then we will see if it works. Whats it going to hurt now? I agree with you, it took approx 30 days for the gov. to get involved. Not to mention all the help that has been offered form other countries and U.S. citizens whom have given several great ideas for BP and the Coast Guard to try. These people can’t get anyone to listen or pick up the phone. All red tape. LIke I said before enjoy your show and looking forward to more. Again sorry for both barrels last time but my passion runs deep with what is going on to our counrty and goverment. Keep up the good work.

    Hey guys,
I just wanted to comment on your comparison of the AOY to the playoffs. I appologize if I’m stirring the pot but in my honest opinion. The AOY competition seems to be more of a MVP type title, where I would consider the Classic to be bass fishings form of the play offs. I understand wanting to add excitement to the AOY but I do think Skeet was robbed. I guess what I’m trying to say is if the AOY can be compared to the playoffs in football, then what is the Classic? Still enjoying the podcast. Thanks guys

Shea, others are making the same observation on the main page ( https://armchairanglers.wordpress.com/2010/08/11/don-logan-featured-in-podcast-episode-8/ ) . I think your point is an astute observation and is by no means stirring the pot!

I am a little concerned that Clint and I have been too defensive in our responses…at the end of the day we want everyone to feel comfortable sharing their opinions, especially when they are well-thought out as yours are…

In short, you don’t have to be a ditto-head/clone to anyone, least of all me! Your opinions are appreciated here!
