Trouble at Lowrance

This article from Tulsa World amazes me on many levels. It is more evidence that Lowrance is suffering from poor customer satisfaction in spite of the state of the art technology they have introduced. But more importantly–to have such an uproar due to one CSR’s resignation–what other industry shows this kind of passion and loyalty?

Post Navico purchase, Lowrance has never been the same. I bought an HDS 7 pretty soon after they came out (stupid, I know). In my first tournament water got in the screen. It took an act of congress to get the unit returned. Another month later Lowrance started admitting they had a “water intrusion” issue. But they only replaced units with the problem. So there are probably still a lot of folks out there with bad units on the boat. I just happened to fish in a toad strangler and caught the problem early. IMO, a good company would have recalled all units. Now if they have done that since, I apologize.
